Top Floor Management Sets the Bar High for its Artists

Written by Riana Buchman

CEO Kyle Reynolds is a jack of all trades, but though versatile, he refused to stray from his initial dream of giving back to others through music. In 2017, this dream materialized into Top Floor Management, a Los Angeles based music management firm which originated in Chicago.

Reynolds, who writes songs and raps, focuses on helping artists rise to their full potential and even exceed the potential they realize for themselves. Top Floor was built upon camaraderie and connection, and the firm’s goal is to uplift and empower talents through the help of their fellow artists.

Top Floor focuses mainly on three pillars: development, production, and management of music. Their name encourages artists to meet the firm at a certain level and to move forward from a high platform.

Currently, Top Floor manages five different artists, ranging in scope of genre and influences, but all possessing that same unique sound they strive to represent.

Deezy Dior hails from Elkhart, Indiana and draws inspiration from influential artists such as Bryson Tiller and Roddy Rich. Though initially Dior had dreams of playing basketball, he quickly found music as his calling and currently pursues it full-time. His illustrious storytelling methods bring his messages to life with songs like “My Zone” already on SoundCloud with an EP following not far behind.

Mi’Kale Bradley, otherwise known as “Lorde Kale”, is a 22-year-old artist originally from Chicago. His sound is influenced by Drake and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, but is determined to pave his own way with his creativity instead of sticking to one route. His biggest motivators are his family and his own wishes to act as a positive role model despite obstacles he has encountered. Lorde Kale even made his own brand, H2O, which then led to his first album named Splash Essential to Life. His latest album, Kale.Lorde Kale.Legend, was released in May and includes nine songs.

Zuko is a London-based artist specializing in “melodic trap” drawing inspiration from big names such as Kanye West, Travis Scott, and 6lack. As a regular of London’s popular nightlife and underground culture, Zuko’s sound reflects this atmosphere. His 2019 EP, Pursuit of Happiness, demonstrates his ability to transport listeners into a fantasy world.

Singer/songwriter Peri Crawford grew up on the east coast of Australia and always aspired to follow her passion for music. Crawford released an EP in 2019 titled Think Too Much and flourished with a blend of pop and RnB genres, the latter appealing to her more. From this point on, Crawford realized she wanted to pursue RnB styles more, which she believes captures the direction she wants to take her music in.

A large part of Top Floor’s success is attributed to their social media. Whether it’s Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, or Facebook, Top Floor has specific strategies to tackle each platform and promote their artists.

Their promises are simple and few, but nonetheless effective. Top Floor aims for unparalleled creativity, full accountability, and authenticity which helps their brand and their artists stand out.
